The Nexus 7 tablet is the first ever Android tablet designed by Google and manufactured by Asus. It was revealed last week at Google I/O developer's conference in San Francisco.
The 7-inch compact tablet has the latest Android version codenamed Jelly Bean. It has a stunning 1,280 x 800 resolution screen, slim body, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 12-core graphics processor, and a camera in front for video call. All this features for a very reasonable price of $199 for the 8GB version (will be out in mid-July).
Nexus 7 tablet avoids competing with the larger, more expensive Apple iPad. Its target is Amazon's Kindle Fire. Because they believe they have a chance in getting Kindle's market. Amazon's Kindle also run by Android. Kindle focuses on Amazon's collection of books, movies and music which they have a pretty big selection.
The Nexus 7 has an advantage over Kindle Fire in the processor and graphics area.
