Microsoft To Release Surface Pro 4 and Lumia 940 XL With Windows 10, QHD Screen Display

Microsoft will be releasing the Surface Pro 4 and Lumia 940 XL With Windows 10 in July. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features 12-inch screen display with 2K pixel resolution, Intel Skylake processor, stylus, and USB Type-C port. Similar to its predecessor the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, the Surface Pro 4 can be transformed into an ultra-portable laptop.

The Lumia 940 XL will have a 5.7-inch QHD touchscreen display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution. It will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon processor with Qualcomm Adreno 430 GPU. It will be equipped with a 2GB RAM (1.5GB usable) and 16GB of internal memory (14GB usable).

The specs for Lumia 940 XL was posted  on a benchmark site with the model name RM-1100.

The phone will include a 17-megapixel main camera, which can also record 4K resolution videos, and a 4.8-megapixel front-facing camera which can record full-HD resolution videos. Sensors including accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, light, and proximity are also listed, apart from NFC connectivity.

Microsoft has introduced their Low-end Surface 3 tablet, which is the cheap version of the Surface 3 tablet. It has smaller screen size and the price starts at only US$499 compared to the US$799 starting price for the Surface Pro 3.

The new Surface 3 has maintain its silver magnesium casing which is good and the size is 10.8x7.36x0.34 inch and it just weigh 622g which makes it the thinnest and lightest tablet made my Microsoft.

The screen is a 10.8-inch ClearType full HD display at 1920x1280 pixels resolution with 3:2 aspect ratio. The Surface 2 and Surface RT came with 16:9 aspect ratios.

The Surface 3 is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor with 2GB or 4GB RAM which is sufficient enough for people who don't need powerful device just like students.

The tablet will run on Windows 8.1 and will be upgradable to Windows 10 when it becomes commercially available.

The battery life of the Surface 3 is up to 10 hours of video playback. It also comes with one (1) year of Office 365 Personal with OneDrive cloud storage.

Microsoft reveal the Xbox One last May 21 on their Xbox Reveal event in Redmond, Washington. They show footage of FIFA 14, Call of Duty Ghosts, UFC, NBA Live 14, Madden 25, and Forza Motorsport 5 truly an eyecandy.

What great about this console is it offers Instant Switching, it let you record and interact with live TV, browse the internet using IE and video chat through Skype all at the same time. You can switch from one task to another using a voice command like "Game" or "TV."

It has online connectivity you can watch tv shows and online videos while playing your favorite games. Users will be able call friends using Skype on other devices like smartphones, tablets, or PCs.

Through Xbox Live online service you can also instantly record and upload video footage of your game achievements.

Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 will go out of support on April 8, 2014. Microsoft Business and Developer products, including Windows and Office products, receive a minimum of 10 years of support (5 years Mainstream Support and 5 years Extended Support), at the supported service pack level.

After April 8, 2014, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates.

Running Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 in your environment after their end of support date may expose your company to potential risks, such as Security & Compliance Risks and Lack of Independent Software Vendor.

The usage share of Windows XP in Desktop Operating System statistics on Net Applications is still huge at 38.73% as of March 2013.

Microsoft is looking into the leaked out copies of the upcoming blockbuster console title Halo 4 for the Xbox 360. It will be officially release later in the year.

First it was the images that surfaced last week on Reddit and then followed by gameplay videos of the game.

What is more troubling for Microsoft is a full retail copy of the game has also been seen on torrent sites. Leaks appear on Reddit and NeoGAF.


Microsoft issued a statement on examiner.com “We have seen the reports of Halo 4 content being propped on the Web and are working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation."
