Are you shopping for a Full HD Phablet? If you are choosing between enovo K3 Note, Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML), and Meizu Note M1 check out their advantages and specification. All three phablets features full HD (1,920x1,080p) screen having pixel density of 401 ppi (pixels per inch).

The Lenovo K3 Note advise their customers to purchase a screen-guard since it does not have one. Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) and Meizu M1 Note are both equipped with Corning's scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3 shield.

Lenovo K3 Note and Meizu Note M1 are powered by 64-bit class 1.7GHz Mediatek [MT6752] Octa-core (ARM Cortex-A53) CPU with 2GB RAM. Both have 16GB internal storage space that are expandable using microSD card. While Asus Zenfone 2 -ZE551ML is powered by 64-bit class based 1.8GHz Intel Atom processor Z3560 with 2GB RAM. It is equipped with PowerVR G6430 graphics engine and 16GB internal memory that is expandable to 64GB using microSD card.

In terms of camera, the Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) is clearly the superior among the choices. It is equipped with 13mp camera main camera that is supported by proprietary PixelMaster technology, Backlight (HDR) mode, and f/2.0 aperture. The front secondary camera is 5mp with 88-degree field of view that comes with ZenUI Selfie Panorama mode, which can capture panoramic selfies with a 140-degree field of view.

The Meizu Note M1 is second with 13mp Samsung camera, 4X digital zoom, 300-degree panoramic lens, Blue glass IR filter, 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture. The secondary front camera is 5mp OV5670 camera with 4-element lens, f/2.0, 69-degree wide-angle lens, Face AE light boost technology and FotoNation smart selfie enhancement.

The Lenovo K3 Note has a 13mp rear main camera with dual-tone LED flash, HDR, full HD video recording and a 5mp snapper on the front.

All three run on Android mobile operating system, Asus Zenfone 2 run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI, Lenovo K3 Note also run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe 2.5 UI. The Meizu Note M1 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with Flyme UI.

As for the price Lenovo K3 Note is the cheapest with $164.00 on Amazon, Meizu Note M1 is priced at $205.00, while the Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) is $310.00.

A Singaporean technology newspaper which is distributed with The Straits Times every Wednesday has chosen the best overall smartphone, android smartphone, phablet and games on the market. Samsung and Sony got seven (7) awards each. Samsung took the awards on mobile devices, while Sony dominates the tablet, camera, and audio categories. Apple got six (6) awards for its smartphone and tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 4G+ is a clear winner for the Best Overall Smartphone since it has the best performing Android platform and it also has top notch features available and it is the most desirable device available on the market. Samsung have officially launched their low-cost phablet Samsung Galaxy Note III Neo confirming the rumors that have been buzzing for months. The phablet was unveiled last Friday in Poland. The phablet aims at consumers who love large screen and are budget conscious. 

The Samsung Galaxy Note III Neo has a 5.5-inch AMOLED (720 x 1080) display which is .2 inch smaller than their flagship Samsung Galaxy Note III phablet which has 5.7-inches display. The processor is very much decent, Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 (3G ver) & dual-core 1.7 GHz Cortex A15 (for LTE capable), it has 2GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel rear camera that is equipped with a LED flash. The front camera is 2-megapixels. The device has 16GB of internal storage, and expandable using a MicroSD card.

It will be available in two version: Samsung GALAXY Note 3 Neo 3G SM-N750 which doesn't support 4G/LTE and Samsung GALAXY Note 3 Neo LTE+ SM-N7505.

The smartphone will run on Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean) and will support many of the S-Pen stylus inputs and gesture operation features like the smart scroll and smart pause that track the eyes of the user to scroll up or down or pause a playing video clip.

Samsung will be providing more information on this product particularly on pricing and where will it be available at the Mobile World Congress that will be held at Barcelona on February 24.

Sony launches 6.4-inch phablet waterproof Xperia Z Ultra phone

Sony has been boasting that the Xperia Z Ultra is the slimmest large-screened handset on the market. The new Sony phablet is bigger than Samsung's Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. The Z Ultra weighed in at 212g, while the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 weighs 198g, but its chassis is mostly made of plastic materials, which somehow doesn't quite have the same build quality as the Z Ultra.

As for the thinnest, it is still Huawei's Ascend P6 which is at 6.18mm. Xperia Z is at 6.5mm.

Features:

Sony Xperia Z Ultra phablet has an IP58 rating, which means it is water and dust-proof. It has full HD display (1920x1080p resolution) with 344ppi pixel density. The quad-core CPU of the handset is clocked at 2.2GHz and is supported by 2GB RAM.

It has the same design language as Xperia Z smartphone and features on-screen keys. It boast a scratch-resistant and shatterproof glass.

It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with a customized UI to make better use of the extra screen size. Sony's custom UI keeps most of the default stock Android features.

It has LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, and screen mirroring. It comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and has a microSD card slot for expandability up to 64GB. A large embedded 3,000mAh battery completes the package.

The back has 8MP camera with LED flash, while the front camera is 2MP. It is expected to be available in Q3 2013 in black, white and purple colours.
