Yahoo Tweets about Gmail Outage
If you don't live on the internet in case you've miss it, there's a Gmail outage yesterday that has caused panic online. The outage took about an hour for Google to fix the bug. The outage wreak havoc not only on Gmail accounts but also on Google+, Google Drive, and Google Sites.
On their official blog, they posted that the shutdown is caused by "an internal system that generates configurations—essentially, information that tells other systems how to behave - -encounter[ing] a software bug and generat[ing] an incorrect configuration."
While Gmail is down, Yahoo quickly grab the oppurtunity to tell everyone about the outage through Twitter.
"Gmail is temporarily unavailable" "Temporary Error (500)"
Yup, it's funny. Later, Yahoo apologize for that Tweet, which I think is not necessary. Yahoo Tweeted after:
"The @Yahoo Twitter handle is used by our editorial team to inform about news and events."
"Earlier today, a tweet that reflected bad judgment was posted and has been deleted. We apologize to @Google and the @Gmail team,"
