Google Glass, tech, gadget, Google

Surprisingly Google stopped the sale of their Google Glass smart eye-wear, they promise that they are planning a new version that is consumer-friendly in the future. The experimental Google Glass went on sale last year at $1500.

The Google Glass provides information to its user like directions, weather and other contextual data. The user can also use the camera integrated in the device to take photos and video clips. Google said that the Glass project will still continue with development continuing towards the creation of a viable consumer product.

Google didn't give any information on when the next version will be available.

“January 19 will be the last day to get the Glass Explorer Edition. In the meantime, we’re continuing to build for the future, and you’ll start to see future versions of Glass when they’re ready.”
