Microsoft's Low-end Surface 3 tablet
Microsoft has introduced their Low-end Surface 3 tablet, which is the cheap version of the Surface 3 tablet. It has smaller screen size and the price starts at only US$499 compared to the US$799 starting price for the Surface Pro 3.
The new Surface 3 has maintain its silver magnesium casing which is good and the size is 10.8x7.36x0.34 inch and it just weigh 622g which makes it the thinnest and lightest tablet made my Microsoft.
The screen is a 10.8-inch ClearType full HD display at 1920x1280 pixels resolution with 3:2 aspect ratio. The Surface 2 and Surface RT came with 16:9 aspect ratios.
The Surface 3 is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor with 2GB or 4GB RAM which is sufficient enough for people who don't need powerful device just like students.
The tablet will run on Windows 8.1 and will be upgradable to Windows 10 when it becomes commercially available.
The battery life of the Surface 3 is up to 10 hours of video playback. It also comes with one (1) year of Office 365 Personal with OneDrive cloud storage.
