Smartphone Battery That Can Recharge in Less than 2 Minutes
We all hate it when our smartphone ran out of battery since most of us are heavy smartphone users specially when we use it playing games and watching movie. Here's some good news, a start up company based in Israel invented a battery that can be fully charged in less than 2 minutes. However, the battery only lasts about 5 hours.
StoreDot, the nanotech startup behind the charger showcase their prototype using a Samsung Galaxy S5 by invitation only on the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2015 in Las Vegas, California. During the demo, the Samsung Galaxy S5 battery was almost empty and it recharges to 100% in less than 2 minutes.
The company said that they are already meeting with leading Smartphone companies and they are aiming to release the product in 2017.
